Winner Selection
All entries will first be screened to ensure they meet the Entry criteria. Sponsor will select one (1) grand prize winner, one (1) first place winner for each design category, and one (1) honorable mention winner for each design category, for a total of seven (7) potential winners, from all eligible Entries received during the Entry Period, on or around December 4, 2017. The potential winners will be determined on the basis of relevancy and originality of the Entry. Judging will be conducted by an independent panel of three (3) judges, which will consist of industry professionals in the interior design and kitchen design discipline (the “Panel”). The Panel will evaluate all valid Entries using a point rating system (between 1 to 10 points per criteria) on the basis of the following three (3) criteria: creativity, functionality, and aesthetics of overall room design. Entries can get a maximum of thirty (30) points total. The decisions of the Sponsor and judges will be final in all matters relating to this contest. In the event of a tie, a fourth judge, who is also an industry professional in the interior design and kitchen design discipline, will score the Entries using the same point rating system and categories as the Panel.
The potential winners will be announced on or about the week of December 4, 2017 at Sponsor’s website KitchenCraft.com and winners will be notified by email and phone. Potential winners will be required to sign and return an Affidavit/Declaration of Eligibility, Liability and Publicity Release (“Release”), which must be received by Sponsor within fourteen (14) days of the date of notice or attempted notice is sent in order to claim their prize. Potential winners must supply Sponsor with any requested information for the administration of the Contest, if requested. Potential winners must obtain a Release signed by the homeowner of the room, whose images were submitted as part of the Entry, which will grant permission to Sponsor to take professional photographs of the room whose images were submitted as part of the Entry. Potential winners will be invited to participate in an interview conducted by the Sponsor. If a potential winner fails to execute and return the Release within the required time period, fails to provide any requested information within the required time period, or the prize or notification is returned as undeliverable, the potential winner will be disqualified and forfeits the prize. Receiving a prize is contingent upon compliance with these Official Rules. In the event that a potential Contest winner is disqualified for any reason, Sponsor may award the applicable prize to an alternate winner by selecting an Entry with the next highest score from among all remaining eligible Entries, even if the disqualified potential winner’s name may have been publicly announced. Only three (3) alternate selections will be held, after which the prize will remain un-awarded. Prizes will be distributed to the winner within thirty (30) days of receipt of the winner’s completed Release and other requested information upon completion of the Contest. Failure to comply with any term or condition in these Official Rules may result in disqualification at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Potential winner(s) may waive his or her right to receive a prize, in which case an alternate winner may be selected in the manner described above.
